How to loop background music for Twitch streams

Your Twitch BGM should run for hours without a click every time the track restarts. The trick is one seamless file instead of a playlist that gaps on repeat. Make that file in Loop Music in about 20 seconds, drop it into OBS as a Media Source, tick Loop — and your background music never gives away the seam on stream.

  • Works with OBS & Streamlabs
  • No gap on repeat
  • Set it and forget it

Hear why a raw Twitch loop clicks

OBS loops the file, but it can't fix a bad splice. Hear the click viewers notice — then the fix.

Twitch background music: common questions

What streamers ask before they leave a loop running on air.

How do I loop background music for a Twitch stream?

Create one seamless file in Loop Music, add it to OBS as a Media Source and enable Loop. OBS then repeats that single gap-free file for your whole stream.

Looping a normal track directly in OBS still exposes the click at the wrap-around, because OBS repeats the file exactly as-is. Loop Music removes the seam before OBS ever plays it.

Why does my OBS music have a gap when it loops?

Because the file itself isn't seamless. OBS's Loop option just replays the same file, so any silence or level mismatch at the ends is heard as a gap on every cycle.

Fix the file, not the player: run it through Loop Music once and the join becomes inaudible, so OBS's loop sounds continuous.

Can I loop a whole playlist on Twitch?

Loop each track into a seamless file first, then chain them or loop one long bed. A raw playlist will still click at each track boundary.

Many streamers make a few seamless beds and rotate scenes between them — each one loops cleanly on its own.

Will looping music get me a copyright strike on Twitch?

Looping doesn't change the rights to a track — use music you're licensed to stream. Loops you create in Loop Music from your own or royalty-free audio are yours to use.

Loop Music doesn't grant music licenses; it only makes the audio you already have repeat seamlessly. You keep full rights to the loop you export.

Do I need audio software to make the loop?

No. Loop Music is a Chrome extension — upload, click Create loop, download. No Audacity or DAW required.

Processing takes about 20 seconds and the free plan includes five loops a month, enough to build a rotation of stream beds.
